• Martin Laird won his first PGA TOUR event by defeating 2007 Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open champion George McNeill on the third playoff hole (No. 18) with a birdie-3. McNeill made bogey on the final playoff hole. Campbell was eliminated on the second playoff hole (No. 17) with a bogey-4.

• Laird won his first TOUR event in his 53rd start at the age of 26 years, 9 months and 20 days.

• Laird, who finished No. 125 on the 2008 money list in his rookie season, picked up his second top-2 finish in the state of Nevada this season. Laird finished T2 earlier this year at the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open. Last season, Laird finished T4 at the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open and finished T47 at the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.

• McNeill and Laird competed in their first playoff on TOUR, while it was Campbell's third playoff (0-3). Campbell lost earlier this year in a playoff at the Masters and lost to Adam Scott on the first playoff hole at the 2005 Nissan Open (rain shortened 36-hole event).

• Laird was T2 through 54-holes, which is the best position he has been in entering the final round on TOUR. His previous best 54-hole standing was fourth at the 2009 Legends Reno-Tahoe Open (T2).

• McNeill, who had missed his last four cuts (Legends Reno-Tahoe Open, Wyndham Championship, The Barclays and Turning Stone Resort Championship), picked up his first top-10 finish since his season opening event at the Sony Open in Hawaii (T7).

• Campbell has now held seven 54-hole leads/co-leads in his TOUR career and has never finished out of the top-2 in those events. In those seven events, he has two wins and five second-place finishes.

• Jeff Klauk (T4) picked up his third top-5 finish of the season. He finished fourth at the Honda Classic and T4 at the U.S. Bank Championship.

• Rickie Fowler (T7) recorded a birdie-3 on No. 18 to secure a top-10 finish and automatic entry into next weeks Frys.com Open. It was Fowler's first start on the PGA TOUR as a professional. He played five events over the last two years as an amateur.

• Aaron Baddeley (T38) is only the 11th golfer this season to record 100 or fewer putts in a tournament (100).

• Jim Furyk (62) turned in the best final-round score of his career. His previous best was a 63 when he won the 1998 Las Vegas Invitational.

• Furyk (62) matched his personal-best round on TOUR, done four other times in his career. His last 62 was at the 2008 BMW Championship (T3).

• Furyk recorded a 29 on the front-nine on his way to a final round 62. Furyk had a 28 on the front side at last years BMW Championship and a 29 on the backside at 1995 BC Open.

• Furyk's turned in the only 29 on the front this week. J.J. Henry recorded the only 29 on the back this week during the second-round.

• For the first time in his PGA TOUR career, Andres Romero posted all four rounds in the 60s. His 54-hole total of 268 is a TOUR career best.

• There were five former UNLV Rebel golfers in the field this week. No former UNLV golfer has even won the TOUR's Las Vegas event. Below are their standings through the third-round.

• The last rookie to win on TOUR was Marc Turnesa at the 2008 Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.

• No rookie has won on TOUR this year -- something that hasn't happened since 1998, when Steve Flesch won Rookie of the Year honors. At 44th on the money list, Australian Marc Leishman leads all rookies. Leishman was the only rookie to play in THE TOUR Championship and finished 20th in the FedExCup standings.
