PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- To present fans with more options than ever to follow the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup, the PGA TOUR announced incremental digital coverage and distribution aimed at expanding fan access to the competition. The moves include expanding live tournament coverage on PGATOUR.COM as well as distributing it to leading sports portals and content platforms such as YouTube, Facebook and widgets.

For the first time, CBS and the PGA TOUR will offer an online simulcast of tournament competition for the final rounds of The Barclays on Saturday and Sunday, August 23-24. The simulcast will be available on PGATOUR.COM, CBSSports.com and via mobile at CBS Mobile Network.

"We are excited to provide fans with new options to view the PGA TOUR," said Ed Moorhouse, PGA TOUR Co-COO. "Fans are seeking multiple ways to follow the competition, and we want to fuel their interest, whether they are following on television, online at PGATOUR.COM or wherever they chose."

In addition, PGATOUR.COM's LIVE@ series coverage will feature over 100 hours of live streaming coverage of all four of the PGA TOUR Playoff tournaments, including The Barclays (August 21-24), Deutsche Bank Championship (August 29-September 1), BMW Championship (September 4-7) and THE TOUR Championship presented by COCA-COLA (September 25-28). LIVE@ series coverage and PGATOUR.COM video highlights will also be broadly distributed via leading sports sites. Partners providing additional coverage include CBSSports.com, ESPN.com, NBCSports.com and Yahoo! Sports.

PGATOUR.COM will also launch PGA TOUR Shot Tracker, a new, graphical live scoring application providing real-time shot trails, ball locations, and statistics. Shot Tracker provides fans with coverage of every player, every shot, and every hole on the PGA TOUR. PGA TOUR Shot Tracker is powered by ShotLink, the PGA TOUR's on-site tracking system. PGA TOUR Shot Tracker is free for fans, providing expansive information and context about the competition. Previously, access to shot trails and ball position data was only available via TOURCast, a paid subscription product.

Last week, the PGA TOUR introduced a dedicated YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/pgatour, which features a broad selection of PGATOUR.COM video content, including original shows, competition highlights, and player features. The PGA TOUR created a Facebook fan page earlier this summer as well that is available to the public at http://www.new.facebook.com/pages/PGA-TOUR/10643196329.

Finally, the PGA TOUR launched a suite of widgets that include leaderboards, breaking news and video. The widgets allow fans to have PGA TOUR competition coverage and news at their fingertips wherever they want it. PGA TOUR widgets can be downloaded at http://www.PGATOUR.COM/widgets/.

"Fans are looking for a multitude of ways to access PGA TOUR competition that deepens their interest in the events and players," said Paul Johnson, PGA TOUR Senior Vice President, New Media. "We are focused on serving fans deeper and better with new products; and more broadly, in new online locations, to enhance each of their golf experiences. The PGA TOUR Playoffs is the perfect time to showcase our expanded content and distribution."

The official Web site of the PGA TOUR, PGATOUR.COM was launched in 1997 to serve the growing needs of golf fans. In 2006, the PGA Tour partnered with Turner Sports to co-produce the site. With an international fan base following the action of the PGA TOUR, Champions Tour and Nationwide Tour, PGATOUR.COM is the number one site in golf. PGATOUR.COM features official real-time scoring, world-class editorial content, exclusive LIVE@ multimedia coverage and its complete PGA TOUR archive of stats.
